KEEP YOUR PASSION ALIVE ALL YEAR ROUND
The irony of fate is that in Europe most schools close when the wind blows more regularly, in winter. Between November and March it is, in fact, difficult to find classes. Why? Obviously because of the cold weather that makes the beginners’ course almost impossible.
But kiting is not just for beginners! Coaching is very important and it is the best way to be accompanied in the progression after leaving a kite school, or to unlock some challenging manoeuvres. Where I live in Montpellier the conditions are perfect to take advanced courses in this period: the beaches are always empty, the spots are less crowded, the wind statistics are very good and most of the parking are free. Practically all conditions are gathered!
You’re not convinced yet and you think it’s too cold? You’re wrong.
Coaching, unlike the lesson for a beginner, does not have the same problems. If you approach coaching it means that you are autonomous and that you won’t stay in the water soaking for prolonged periods of time, or stationary flying your kite. Through a good method and a well-concentrated, but not excessively long, lesson, I am convinced that coaching in winter is a great idea.
